BRK6110 Breakout Board

The BRK6110 is a simple two-layer “breakout board” which can be used to evaluate or transition to the XEM6310.  It provides standard 2-mm thru-hole connections to the 0.8-mm high-density connectors on the XEM6310 and a DC power connector (2.1mm/5.5mm, center positive) for providing +VDC to the XEM6310. Please visit the Pins reference for the XEM6310 for pin mapping details. Full Altium schematics and PCB layout are available through Pins Downloads.

Unlike our integration modules themselves, breakout boards are not intended for production integration. We reserve the right to change dimensions and functionality of this board at any time and may not necessarily have the previous version available for purchase.

Reference Designators

A brief note about reference designators… Reference designators are the marks on the silkscreen used to associate the parts on a PCB design with the corresponding parts on the bill of materials (BOM). Assembly personnel use this association to put the correct parts on the PCB where they belong. It’s important to note that this is not a universal association. J1 on one PCB assembly is not necessarily associated with J1 on a different assembly. After all, one assembly might have J1-J13 and another only J1-J4.

So it is the case with our products such as the XEM6310 and BRK6110. Notably, J1 on the XEM6310 does not mate with J1 on the BRK6110. This should be obvious by the way the board mounts on the BRK6110. Please see the BRK6110 schematics and the XEM6310 Pins reference to see how things map. In the Pins reference, you will need to enable the BRK6110 column under Display Options.
