Device Settings

The XEM7320 supports the FrontPanel Device Settings in the table below, accessible from the FrontPanel Application as well as the Device Settings API.

XEM7320 Device Settings

The XEM7320 has three SYZYGY ports that support SmartVIO for automatic interface voltage selection.  These settings may optionally be overridden by the settings below.  We do not recommend manual override of these settings without careful consideration of the outcome.  Damage may be done to the XEM7320 and/or attached peripherals.

Note: All device settings require a power cycle to take effect.

NAMETYPEDESCRIPTION
XEM7320_VIO1_VOLTAGEINT32VIO1 output voltage specified in 10’s of mV. For example, “330” would set VIO1 = 3.3v.

DEFAULT: 0
XEM7320_VIO2_VOLTAGEINT32VIO2 output voltage specified in 10’s of mV. For example, “330” would set VIO2 = 3.3v.

DEFAULT: 0
XEM7320_VIO3_VOLTAGEINT32VIO3 output voltage specified in 10’s of mV. For example, “330” would set VIO3 = 3.3v.

DEFAULT: 0
XEM7320_SMARTVIO_MODEINT32Register used to control the behavior of the SmartVIO solver on the XEM7320.
DEFAULT: 0x00

0x00 – SmartVIO only – SmartVIO is tested collectively so all present SmartVIO peripherals must result in a collective validation for any of the outputs to be enabled.

0x01 – SmartVIO with fallback to device settings – SmartVIO is tested collectively so all present SmartVIO peripherals must result in a collective validation otherwise the Device Settings fallback are used.

0x02 – Device Settings only – SmartVIO settings from the peripherals is ignored, only the device settings are used.

SYZYGY Device Settings

The following settings are common to all FrontPanel devices that support SYZYGY either natively or through a compatible breakout board or reference platform.

The XEM7320 has three ports, supporting n=0..2.

NAMETYPEDESCRIPTION
SYZYGYn_PORT_STATUSINT32Indicates the selected voltage for this port in 10’s of mV.  For example, “330” means that the SmartVIO solution is 3.3V.  If a solution was not found, this will read “0” and the port will be unpowered.
SYZYGYn_MANUFACTURER_NAMESTRINGThe peripheral’s manufacturer name as reported by its SYZYGY DNA.
SYZYGYn_PRODUCT_NAMESTRINGThe peripheral’s manufacturer name as reported by its SYZYGY DNA.
SYZYGYn_PRODUCT_MODELSTRINGThe peripheral’s product model as reported by its SYZYGY DNA.
SYZYGYn_PRODUCT_VERSIONSTRINGThe peripheral’s product version as reported by its SYZYGY DNA.
SYZYGYn_SERIAL_NUMBERSTRINGThe peripheral’s serial number as reported by its SYZYGY DNA.
