XEM7305
JTAG
The USB 3.0 interface on the XEM7305 provides FrontPanel-based FPGA configuration and communication only. This interface is not available for JTAG access and is not compatible with the vendor tools that use JTAG communication (e.g. the Xilinx Vivado Integrated Logic Analyzer). The JTAG port is available through the expansion connectors to the JTAG connector on the BRK7305. You will need a JTAG cable to connect to this port and this cable will be detected in Vivado.
JTAG Cables
A vendor-supported JTAG cable is required to interface with the JTAG connector and provide tool access to JTAG.
The following JTAG cables are available with connectors compatible with the connector on the breakout board:
